All our life is a game.

Reference books define a game as "a kind of nonproductive activity, which motive is not the result, but the process." According to the psychologist's opinion, games are really important in children's up bringing, teaching, as the mean of psychological training for difficult situations in future life.

One shouldn't think that the game is the thing concerns only children or sports. In fact, it is the method of modeling a real life. The brightest example that proves it is a part of math science, called "Games theory". It researches math models of making optimal solutions in conflict conditions. More precisely it can be explained as the cases when several participants, having different potential, choose optimal solutions, which meet their requirements. "Games Theory" schemes cover not only sports games, such as chess or domino, but different situations emerging in business, military, economic fields of activity.
"A game as it is - is one of the most effective ways of training -Elena Svezhentseva a consultant of Russian company "Training Strategies" says -" Since childhood the games have been the source of getting new skills and knowledge, helped to develop the memory, attention, logical way of thinking. When people use games in order to teach and get skills- the results are brilliant. Playing games people easily set the connection between the reality and the game itself, learn to model and render situations from the exercises in their working experience. While playing the game firm employees have a chance to get new skills and to learn by their own mistakes without any risk for the company and their jobs.

In corporate training, business games are widely used as one of the business training instruments. It is one of the most effective means of raising the level of collaborators and the company as a whole. "Training Strategies", which is working out and conducting corporate trainings on various business fields in Russia, represents a collection of business games, produced by British company "Northgate". "Training Strategies" offers 48 different business games to their clients. The topics of the games are - team work and communication, problem solving and decision making, leadership and motivation, sales and customer service, marketing- says Elena Svezhetseva "Training Strategies" consultant.
The time of business game can vary from 1 hour up to 2 days. 2 or more teams participate in the games, cause all the games consider to emerge the competition. While training, the main goal is to work at diverse skills such as decision making, sucssesful sales, time planning, team work. Any employee can be a participant, it doesn't depend on position: whether it is a newcomer or an experienced collaborator, a junior employee or a top-manager. And that's not all, practically anyone, who is acquainted with the game rules, can be a leading trainer.

"Business games give an opportunity to practise key managing skills- Michael Lynch-business exercise developer of Northgate says in interview for "People Skills" magazine. Our games are worked out for the team of 3-6 participants up to several teams, playing simultaneously. The main advantage of the games is that they allow trainers understand how participant use existing skills and how to help them to improve and develop these skills."
According to Michael Lynch some games can serve as entertainment, some can have only humor elements. The use of the game can be easily understood, if consider them as imitation or modeling the situation. The example of pilot training is quite exact. While pilot training, special imitating computer programs are operating. A pilot finds himself in the real situation; learn to overcome difficulties, which emerge during the flight, though without a risk.
